Some of our most important customers and some of the harshest critics we will encounter, but here at Apricot we relish a the challenge of providing local children with freshly cooked meals on a daily basis.

With over 25 years experience in the catering trade and a highly skilled team of chefs, cooks & services staff, this is a job we really enjoy and are constantly developing to ensure we achieve the highest possible standards.

Only starting providing schools in October 2011 to two primary schools, we are already in dicsuccion with various other local schools for the future, simply due to the positive feedback we have received.

We are committed to providing your child with a healthy school lunch and dedicated to sourcing local ingredients for our menus. It’s our opportunity to promote healthy food and educate children about all the different foods available.

We know it’s not just the food on the plate that is important but a real understanding of health and nutrition too. Our simple set of commitments are on a lot of caterers agendas, but being a small company we can deliver what we agree… Eat, Learn, Live – helps us to educate young people about how to have a happy, safe and healthy lifestyle while contributing to a sustainable world.

Good Egg Award

The Good Egg Awards have celebrated companies who are using only cage-free eggs or egg products, or committing to do so by 2012. This program works by recognising and rewarding producers, manufacturers, food service, retailers and public bodies for working in a sustainable and responsible way. Apricot was awarded this in 2011.

The first Fair-trade Caterer in Herefordshire, where we cannot source locally, we will always source  Fair-Trade produce.
